Literature Text
My eyes should be
A window to my true soul
Showing the Christ
The One who has made me whole
In school, at home
And in everywhere I go
I want to shine
I so want your light to show!
In my life Lord
The days you gift me on earth
I desire that you
Use me, through best and worst
Through the good times
Your full blessings out you pour
Through your power
On wings like eagles I soar
Through the hard times
The strength to triumph you give
You’re always there
Through every storm I live
To me you gave
My special talents as a gift
I give them back
To others help and uplift
I surrender
All of me to you I choose
Do as you will
I am yours to take and use
A window to my true soul
Showing the Christ

JESUS
Splattered red paint,
That's what it looks like
Dripping off my saint
Down, from the spikes
They bind his hands
Like biting snakes
Holy is this lamb
He quivers, he shakes
On his cross he resides
Tears still streaming
Through closed eyes

Do you remember me?
Sitting on a patch of grass
Where the sun shines through the trees
My dearest friend, I remember you
But do you remember me?
Do you recall the laughter
That would scare away the cranes
And how we sat in fields of clover
Making daisy chains
Do you recall the park we found
And climbing up the tree
Then sitting under its cool, kind shade
Serving imaginary tea
Or the time I snuck into the yard
Of a builders, like a mouse
To steal some wood and rope
To make a cubbyhouse
Remember fishing at the creek
That time where I fell in
And you dived in to save me
Though you hadn't learnt to swim
Remember when we made those swords

The Piano
The Piano
She gives it all she does posess
The worn instrument\'s sound is dim
How to create beauty, she cannot assess
She plays the keys upon a whim
A tear streams down her cheek
So warm against her skin
This one girl - soft-spoken and meek
Must find the soul within
Desperately with sadness she plays
Her beautiful, mournful tune
This which her heart portrays
But her song must die too soon
Strong is the power of her art
That lone girl, who was so sad
Created a song from her heart
And gave it all she had

I wrote this at my youth group one night.
Its pretty simple, but true.
I don't think there's much more that I can say really.
I decided to cut it down, cause quite a few of my poems are too long.
So it actually had eleven verses originally.
